Position Overview

Our client’s primary mission is to amplify cognitive functions, address disorders, and introduce innovative solutions that revolutionize brain health.

The President has full P&L accountability for the U.S. and will lead pivotal areas like reimbursement, product launch strategies, and operations. Reporting into the CEO, this role leans heavily towards the clinical/commercial market, especially as the company readies itself for an FDA trial and contemplates commercial operations over the upcoming years. A key emphasis will be on market accessibility, reimbursement, and operations, especially considering potential treatments for conditions like depression and epilepsy. The President is an entrepreneurial business leader with a consistent track-record of success in the start-up, growth and leadership of high-performance medical device companies. Visionary, decisive, and interactive executive with high-caliber general management qualifications and leadership talents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Direction: Collaborate with the CEO to craft and execute an expansive business strategy emphasizing medical sector growth.
  • Set our client’s overall US GTM strategy including market positioning, definition of product portfolio, and oversight of execution, including P&L ownership
  • Established strategies and initiatives to drive business growth with achievements that directly impacted company value in the areas of Sales, Marketing, Regulatory, Clinical Affairs and New Business Development.
  • Fundraising: Spearhead Series B fundraising efforts, network with prospective investors, and guarantee the company’s fiscal prosperity.
  • Product Introduction: Direct the introduction of our clients’ medical products in the U.S., ensuring compliance with regulatory norms, market demands, and organizational aims.
  • Provide guidance to product managers in the specification and management of product development efforts and ensure product teams execute on plans and work within our cross-
    functional product management lifecycle framework to deliver against milestones, through collaboration with key internal stakeholder functional organizations.
  • Identify, develop and hire high potential talent in the development of current and future
  • Business Development: Enable sales and commercial opportunities through network and development of go-to-market strategy.
  • Reimbursement- Develop and implement reimbursement strategies to optimize market access and maximize reimbursement for our products in the US
  • Proven experience in launching, commercializing and driving sales growth of therapeutic
    device products
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with external partners, clients, and stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact for NE in the US
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and driving continuous improvement against performance metrics
  • Relationship Management: Foster and sustain rapport with crucial stakeholders, encompassing investors, medical practitioners, regulatory bodies, and industry affiliates.
  • Lead, manage, and direct large teams across each department in the US division (Growth, Commercial, Delivery, Clinical, Product, operations, regulatory, etc.
  • Market Insight: Consistently evaluate the market scenario, observe competition, and pinpoint opportunities to guide corporate decisions. Strong understanding of the neurology market (Epilepsy, Depression, ADHD, Parkinson’s Disease, etc.)Market Insight: Consistently evaluate the market scenario, observe competition, and pinpoint opportunities to guide corporate decisions.

Key Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Business, Finance, or a related domain. Additional credentials in Neuroscience or associated medical disciplines are a significant advantage.
  • Prior experience as a key leader within a startup environment with a track record of creating growth and refining the strategic direction of the enterprise.
  • 15+ years of experience with progressive responsibility in medical device/digital health/pharma/biotech/contract research organization or healthcare informatics.
  • Proven accomplishment in Medical Device (Class II or III) schemes and adeptness in transitioning products from R&D to global markets is vital.
  • Experience with FDA and respected in the neurology community.
  • Extensive knowledge medical device product changes and regulatory impact.
  • Experience with team leadership, ability to recruit, develop and mentor a high-performance team.
  • Advanced decision-making and problem-solving skills, and an analytical and process-oriented approach to improvement of company performance
  • Established performance in executive capacities with a spotlight on fundraising, product introduction, and market development. Prior engagement in the medical device or healthcare industry is indispensable.
  • Experience working in a fast-pace, growth-stage start-up environment.
  • Skills: Proficient in strategy formulation, data analysis, and cross-functional team leadership.
  • Stellar communication and bargaining abilities.
