Position Overview

Our client is a trusted and reliable distribution company in the life science industry.

Execute all related contract and pricing activities with the Department of Veteran Affairs, Department of Defense Logistics, and other Federal Government entities. This includes direct hands-on management of all National Contract bids, our Federal Supply Schedule activities, and our DAPA contract with the Department of Defense. Additionally, this role is responsible for all wholesaler pricing communications/product loading, product registration, WAC publications, and other commercial launch activities (e.g., PHS pricing, price list maintenance, etc.). Plus, the role needs to ensure that all internal systems and team members are aligned with our client’s pricing, this includes management of our contracting system.

This role is Remote with some travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute all required activities to ensure National Contract bids, our FSS schedule, and our DAPA contract are updated accurately, timely, and in good form
    • Submission of National Contracts which includes gathering all information required for a bid, putting the bid packages together, ensuring all requirements of the bid are met, ensuring our suppliers provide the required documentation, highlighting risks/issues, and ensuring a review process to ensure no disqualifying issues exist. This includes ensuring proper communication directly to the VA and by managing the DIBBS system for all DLA bids
    • Execute all required FSS activities. This includes the preparation of modification forms to add products, update pricing via TPR’s, and any other submissions to our contracting officer (e.g., delete items, add/modify authorized negotiators, permanent price reductions, etc.)
    • Ensure DAPA pricing is loaded. This includes working knowledge of DAPA, the ability to work within the system to load products, submit pricing, and update product information in good form.
  • Manage all Wholesaler/Distributor communications, pricing, contracting, and launch related activities
    • Ensure our client’s WACs are published in the proper 3rd Party compendia
    • Work with wholesalers and distributors to ensure products are loaded in their respective systems
    • Submit wholesaler communications as required and needed around launches, changes to NDC’s, or for any other business reason
    • Work to ensure PHS pricing is calculated and submitted, leveraging our 3rd Party Team that performs the calculations
  • Oversee all internal communications and monitoring
    • This includes entering contracts and contract updates into our Vistex Contract Management System
    • Maintaining an updated price list/product list
    • Keeping contract lists and contract performance trackers up to date
  • Working to expand our client’s business and or improving current strategies
    • This includes working to expand our client’s customer base, working directly with new distributors and or agencies to get our client contracted with them for various opportunities
    • This also includes reviewing current pricing in the market, looking for opportunities for our client to drive value either to gain more share and or to increase ASP realization

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, marketing, or finance.
  • 7+ years of corporate experience, with experience and knowledge in the area of government contracting and pricing.
  • Good analytical skills
  • Having a disciplined way of working through dynamic inter-dependent activities (e.g., national contract bid through product launch)
  • Good people management skills to coordinate with all stakeholders
  • Familiarity with National Contracting processes for the VA and DLA, including DIBBS system
  • Understanding of how the Federal Supply Schedule pricing mechanics work, plus managing the relationships within the FSS Team at the VA
  • High level of accuracy is required with a growing portfolio and diverse set of supply sites
  • Ensuring products are loaded properly at multiple customers, while also owning the publication of all required documentation related to our client product launches and or product updates
