Position Overview

Head, Clinical Programs will help clients, sites and sponsors, consistently execute their clinical trials faster and to higher performance standards, by optimizing the use of our client software and best-practice processes, resource allocations, communications and reporting to de-risk and accelerate study results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as an evangelizer for the company’s vision to commit client leaders to a 3-year tech-enabled program to achieve high performance and accountability.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior research leaders at sites and sponsors based on a successful track record of thought leadership, change management and high-performance clinical trial leadership.
  • Develop client program to meet each client’s individual strategic goals and KPIs, while also prioritizing synergies between Life Sciences and HCO clients, to generate additional win-win outcomes, KPI and ROI.
  • Develop, publish and promote client success stories for all HCO and LS clients to win over internal and external stakeholders and grow revenues and reputation as a category creator and successful change agent in clinical trials.
  • Develop and promote win-win eco-system collaborations and success stories to drive large-scale adoption by research networks (e.g. NRG, SWOG, the VA, NCI, UC, UT, CIRM)
  • Act as central point of contact and ultimate accountability for clinical research champions at health care organizations, supported by team of account managers, trainers, and clinical application specialists
  • Use clinical trials expertise to help research sites meet strategic goals around operational and financial improvement, sponsor collaboration, and advancing scientific research
  • Be a thought partner and thought leader for client research leaders to help them redesign their clinical trials processes, using our platform as a catalyst for change
  • Publish best practices and case studies using our software for improved research and clinical trials management
  • Document and share the best uses of our software for the specific needs of clinical research sites, e.g., NCI designation, diversity initiatives, cooperative group trials
  • Identify emerging needs of customers and communicate with our Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams to prioritize and design solutions
  • Manage team of Account Managers to deliver vision to hospital customers

Outcomes

To achieve an A performance in Year 1

  • Retain all HCO and LS clients with 0 or negative churn.
  • Convert all HCO clients to participate in eco-system and prioritize studies on the D6 platform to promote their sites’ performance and generate ROI.
  • Convert all LS clients to partner with our AI in getting HCO sites to adopt higher visibility, accountability and performance standards via HCO leadership buy-in and on-the-ground process improvements.
  • Generate all clients buy-in and hands-on support in improving workflows and best practices via regular results-driven communications: reports, dashboards, emails, meetings, user groups, webinars, white papers, etc.
  • Establish our AI certification and high performance label or stamp as a desired and widely publicized ‘badge of honor’ for all clients (year 2+).
  • Build collaborative relationships with senior clinical champions at research sites, resulting in 5+ public presentations, publications, posters, etc. highlighting how our advances research
  • Meet a minimum of 3x per year with senior leaders at each customer to communicate progress and align on goals
  • Build library of 5+ new user stories per quarter, highlighting impact of across multiple use cases
  • 100% renewal and expansion at research sites to new departments and/or new studies, based on each site’s research goals
  • Support our ecosystem with 100% of sites participating in shared studies

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Successful change agent in a clinical research setting at a healthcare organization (and, ideally, at a life sciences, biotech or CRO company) with proven results from turnaround program.
  • Influential thought leader and KoL in the clinical research domain with clear expertise in leveraging new technology alongside organizational change and implementing best-practice processes to achieve objective proof of performance improvements in clinical research programs.
  • Deep expertise in clinical research operations at academic medical centers, NCI-designated cancer centers, and other large research organizations
  • Experience communicating a clear vision to hospital leadership
  • Experience leading a team of Account Managers to deliver on a program consistent with the above goals
