Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Chief Operations Officer (COO) with extensive knowledge and expertise in both clinical research and medical device industries. The COO will oversee and manage all operational aspects of the organization, including planning, executing, and evaluating projects and initiatives related to clinical research and medical device development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans and goals for the organization in line with its overall mission and vision
  • Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to cross-functional teams in the areas of clinical research and medical device development
  • Oversee and manage the operations of the organization, including budgeting, resource allocation, and project management
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards for clinical research and medical device development
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across the organization
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, customers, and vendors
  • Manage and mentor a team of professionals, including clinical research associates, project managers, and engineers
  • Work closely with senior leadership to provide regular updates on operational performance and strategic initiatives

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred in a relevant field (such as business administration, life sciences, or engineering)
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in clinical research and medical device development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards for clinical research and medical device development
  • Demonstrated track record of success in managing complex operations and projects
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
