Position Overview

Our client is was founded to positively impact the lives of the millions of people living with neurologic injury and disease. The Company’s first prescription medical device, an FDA Breakthrough status product based on cutting edge neuroscience, combines proprietary data and digitally enhanced music with a patented clinical treatment algorithm to improve walking and ambulation in adults with chronic stroke walking deficits.

Our client is is seeking a seasoned CEO to scale the company and develop and lead the right commercial strategy to realize the value of its launched product as well as in development of future products and collaborations. The new CEO will work with supportive investors and board of directors, raise additional capital and lead the team, including committed founders with exceptional respect among clinicians. The CEO will oversee development of the strategy for the pipeline of next generation neurotherapeutics using our client’s proprietary technology platform combining sensors, software, and music with advanced neuroscience, to improve lives across a range of neurological conditions, including Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease as well as future consumer products and technology enabled innovations that may target large markets across a range of conditions from fitness to aging in place. The CEO must be a strong leader with a track record of success in raising capital and delivering returns to shareholders as well as in scaling healthtech or pharma companies with products to treat patients. The CEO will have deep experience in the commercial landscape for FDA regulated healthcare treatments and, ideally, in tech-enabled or consumer healthcare products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fundraising and Financial:
    • Strong financial acumen, experience in: fundraising, modeling and presenting of both R&D, commercial build and scaling
    • Track record of successful capital raises, ability to raise capital needed to launch products, support R&D and position company to deliver exceptional investor returns
  • Commercial Strategy and Operations:
    • Experience in building and scaling a company’s operations from R&D project prioritization through pre/early commercial stages to commercial success and exit
    • Seasoned strategist with experience in developing commercial strategy for Rx and possible consumer products, including decisions related to licensing, partnerships, commercial build and prioritization, ideally at early through later stage companies
    • Medical device/MedTech background ideal, DME experience a plus
  • Leadership:
    • Recruits and develops a high-performing team of A players, sets and achieves goals
    • Communicates effectively and transparently with board, team, investors, and stakeholders through exceptional written, oral, and presentation skills
    • Demonstrates professionalism and maturity, motivating and inspiring the team through challenges and change
