WORLDWIDE PHARMA LEADER SEEKS JD EDWARDS BUSINESS ANALYST

My client, one of the most innovative and successful global healthcare companies in the industry, is looking for a skilled technical business analyst in JD Edwards One World.  This individual will be responsible for supporting the operation and evolution of applications for my clients US Commercial Operations.  If you have a Bachelor’s Degree and 4 to 5 years experience in an IT related position, please read on:

Job Description:

This position will support initiatives in the design, implementation, testing and maintenance of technology solutions that directly support the business objectives of my clients US Commercial Operations. You must be consistent with sound IT standards and practices. This position will also be responsible for providing warranty support for services performed on behalf of client organizations/business functions, while informing stakeholders in a timely manner. In this position you will need to create independently and it requires a heavy workload on multiple concurrent tasks, with schedule deadlines and an on-call basis outside of normal business hours. You will be required to lead small-to-moderately sized projects and ensure functional code is tested, documented, and place into production. You will also provide occasional functional and technical guidance to junior team members and peers.

Responsibilities include:

  • In-depth functional knowledge with the JD Edwards One World, Enterprise One
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications
  • Proficiency in at least one computer programming language and SQL
  • Strong knowledge of standard automated business processes
  • Strong verbal and written English language skills as well as strong people skills
  • Ability to coordinate actions with supervisor and technical support offices
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate business requirements and respond with quality technical specifications and solutions
  • Strong business, interpersonal and communication skills to articulate IT issues and work with end-users and various levels of management
  • Strong time management skills to accommodate work on multiple projects and proficient completion of administrative tasks

Required Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business information systems, business administration, computer science, or equivalent technical field. An MBA is preferred
  • 4 to 5 years in an information technology related position

Preferred Skills include:

  • Familiarity with Commercial Operations or Supply Chain for Pharmaceutical or Medical Devices industries
  • Familiarity with other ERP applications including, but not limited to SAP or Dynamics
  • Familiarity with platforms including, but not limited to, iSeries, Windows, Citrix, Linux, and/or AIX 
  • Familiarity with system tools and languages including, but not limited to SQL, iSeries CL, RPG, C/C++, MQ Messaging, SOA, XML, Visual Basic, Visual Studio .Net, and/or HTML
  • Familiarity with Relational Database Management System development and support tools (including, but not limited to, DB400, MS SQL Server, and/or Oracle)
  • Familiarity with reporting tools including but not limited to BI Publisher, Showcase, COGNOS, and/or Crystal.
