Job Description:

This position will develop overarching strategic brand plans for the in-line portfolio. The portfolio strategic plan will account for current and evolving market dynamics, corporate objectives, brand positioning and strategies, line extension and new product strategies, and will be robust enough to address CSF's for all stakeholders across all allied disciplines and channels of communication. As a member of the Commercial Management Team, ensure the division's go-to-market strategies and programs deliver defined business objectives (e.g., annual operating forecast and imprToved commercial efficiency over the strategic plan). This position will also coordinate with other key members of the Commercial Management Team (e.g., Sales, Healthcare Systems) to define trimester POA plans and ensure brand tactical programs and priorities are appropriately incorporated.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop commercialization plan for line extensions and new products that optimizes both adoption at launch and penetration over the lifecycle, including market-based assessments, internal preparedness and resource considerations, and minimum market-based and internal requirements (e.g., data dossier, labeling, etc.)
  • In partnership with Medical Education and Scientific Communications, define and monitor the overall evidence generation plan that establishes and supports the scientific and pharmacoeconomic rationale for in-line brands.
  • Ensure evidence communication initiatives are consistent, timely, and optimized across appropriate channels (e.g., publications, PR).
  • Direct brand manager advocacy development to broaden market support for core brands.
  • Oversee agencies and consultants, ensuring appropriate external relationships are in place to support the needs of the business, appropriate strategic input is provided, deliverables are timely and of high quality, and industry appropriate rates are paid.
  • Establish and define a unified process and planning template, communicate expectations to Product Directors/Brand Managers and supervise the development of annual marketing plans for all in-line brands.
  • Ensure marketing research plans are appropriate and sufficient to support the above portfolio-based activities, including monitoring brand equity and perceptions, trends and unmet needs in the market as part of a market-driven feedback loop to optimize portfolio and lifecycle management initiatives.

Qualifications include:

  • BA/BS in Business, Marketing, Finance, Science, Psychology, or Health-related preferred
  • MBA preferred
  • 10 years total years experience in pharmaceutical sales and marketing
  • 6+ years experience in pharmaceutical  marketing (e.g., Brand Manager) Healthcare sales management preferred
