Job Description:

This position with Laboratory Information Systems will provide a critical capability for my client to efficiently and safely manage testing of products and components in both Research and Development and manufacturing lobs worldwide.  In this position you will provide the technical expertise necessary to deploy and support LIMS across the company.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and deploy a LIMS application which will meet the needs of the clients various laboratory facilities.
  • Develop LIMS reports
  • Develop and support interfaces from LIMS to other systems
  • Develop and support lab instrument interfaces
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems
  • Execute test plans and document results
  • Collect of user requirements
  • Follow established IT standards, work practices, and a global change control process.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in computer science
  • At least 7 years of experience in a global life sciences environment deploying and supporting LIMS
  • Detailed knowledge of LIMS software, interfaces, and supporting infrastructure   
  • Hands-on experience with LabVantage Sapphire and Business Objects
  • Working knowledge of Oracle databases, IP networks, and Intel servers
  • JAVA and XML programming experience
  • Must be able to sustain a strong working relationship with management, user community, and technical team
