Job Description:

The individual will work as a technical leader to support the design and development of new products and processes in the BioProcess division. Typical products in development include polymeric membrane based filtration devices for sterilizing and viral clearance applications used in the processing of Biotherapeutics.

This position requires an individual with a hands-on approach and a proven track record of applying their skills to solve real development challenges and work cross functionally

Job Qualifications:

The individual must possess solid skills in Applied Physics and Polymer Chemistry and be highly proficient in the areas of technical problem solving, experimental design, risk assessment, and statistical data analysis.  Knowledge of Thermoplastic injection molding and bonding of polymeric materials is also highly desirable. Knowledge of manufacturing and process development activities such as process validation, design of experiments, FMEA and design for manufacturing is an advantage. Knowledge of filtration products, processes and applications is very helpful.

The individual will possess effective oral and written communication skills. Guidelines - typical minimum education/years of experience:  MS/equivalent plus 7 or PhD plus 4 years of experience in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
