Applied Health Outcomes Researcher

My client provides a wide range of healthcare data and market research to pharmaceutical, consumer products, and healthcare-related companies. They are the leading provider of real-time localized illness tracking and modeling data to the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Development and conduct of health economics and outcomes research, primarily focused on evaluation of disease practice patterns, affects of pharmaceutical interventions and various other real-world retrospective studies
  • Creating appropriate study groups, including the design of analytical rules to successfully bridge between study objectives and the existing claims data and/or electronic medical records respective to the study
  • Optimizing inclusion and exclusion criteria to create the most scientifically rigorous study group balanced on adequate sample size for clinical and statistical significance
  • Design of reporting tables to effectively and efficiently present the data and analyses for client’s needs, balancing the structure and inherent limitations of the data
  • Understanding and applying the relevant analytic and statistical techniques to complete the research
  • Leadership of multi-disciplinary project teams (operations, IT and statisticians)

Job Requirements:

  • Advanced, doctoral level degree (e.g. M.D., Ph.D.) in a relevant discipline (health outcomes, economics, public health, epidemiology, statistics or other quantitative field)
  • Minimum of 2 years of health outcomes research experience in the pharmaceutical industry or in a consulting role to the pharmaceutical industry
